It was bound to happen. Jalen realizes there's a pecking order in the world. He is upset that his brother gets to have more freedom than he does. Here's the brief conversation we had:
Jalen: How come Kuya gets to do whatever he wants and I don't?
Me: He's older than you.
Jalen: That's not fair. Why did he have to be born before me?
Me: (Hesitatingly) Well, because God made it that way.
Jalen: Mmmmm (whining)
Sorry, Lord, for using you as an excuse to extricate myself. I was caught off guard and well, You are one convenient excuse.

- I am a mom, a wife, and have Stage 4 breast cancer. I was initially diagnosed in November of 2005 and was in remission until April of 2008. I have undergone various treatments, surgeries, and multiple chemo regimens. Sometimes I wonder how much abuse a mangled body could take but apparently, it could take a lot. Despite all that has transpired in my life, I do feel very blessed. I have a wonderful husband and two of the most remarkable progenies any mom could have. They complete my life and I wouldn't trade mine for anyone else's.
